Acceptance and age
By using Emoji Subtitles™ ("the service"), you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, or you are under 18, please do not use the service.
What the service does
Emoji Subtitles provides possible translations and interpretations of messages that contain emojis, slang, or unusual wording, not certainty. Suggested replies are informational only. You remain responsible for how you communicate or act. The service does not determine a sender's actual thoughts, motives, emotions, honesty, intentions, or mental state.
Not professional advice
Emoji Subtitles is not professional legal, medical, mental-health, financial, employment, safety, emergency, or law-enforcement advice. When a message concerns threats, abuse, self-harm, emergencies, legal issues, health, money, or personal safety, please seek appropriate human help from a qualified professional or the proper authorities.
Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Only submit message content you have the right or permission to share.
- Remove names and identifying details whenever possible.
You agree not to:
- Submit illegal material.
- Submit passwords, financial account information, medical records, government identifiers, or other highly sensitive personal information.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, payment controls, rate limits, or subscription restrictions.
- Interfere with, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise abuse the service.
Free and paid plans
The service offers two plans: a Free plan with 1 message interpretation per day; and Premium at $3.99 per month with up to 25 interpretations per day and a maximum of 500 interpretations per month, detailed explanations, tone and confidence, and three suggested written replies plus an emoji reply. Customers who subscribed before the current Premium price took effect remain on their original monthly price until they cancel. See the Pricing page for current details.
Subscriptions, automatic renewal, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in U.S. dollars and renew automatically every month to the payment method on file until you cancel.
- Price, cadence, and renewal terms are displayed on the Pricing page and inside the Stripe checkout page before payment.
- You can cancel future renewals at any time from Your Account → Manage Subscription, which opens the secure Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; paid access remains active through the end of the current paid period.
- Stripe may send email receipts and subscription-related confirmations based on the customer's email address and the notification settings configured for the service. Customers can also review and manage their subscription through the Stripe Billing Portal.
- Deleting your account does not automatically issue a refund for the current billing period. Cancel first if you want to stop the next renewal, then delete.
- Payment processing is provided by Stripe. Emoji Subtitles does not store full payment-card numbers.
Refund policy
Premium subscription charges are generally nonrefundable, including partial months after cancellation. If you believe you were charged in error, were charged after canceling, or experienced a serious service problem, email support@emojisubtitles.com with the subject line "Refund Request" within 30 days of the charge. Refunds required by applicable consumer- protection law will always be honored.
iOS app availability
Premium subscriptions are currently available only on the web (emojisubtitles.com). Premium is not yet purchasable inside the iOS app. The Free plan works everywhere.
Suspension and availability
The service may suspend access for misuse, fraud, payment failure, or attempts to overload the system. Access to the service may be limited, suspended, changed, or discontinued at any time. Availability is not guaranteed.
Intellectual property
Emoji Subtitles™, its original text, interface content, branding, guides, and service materials belong to Emoji Subtitles, except for third-party materials and open-source components, which remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their own licenses.
Third-party services
The service uses third-party providers to operate. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any interpretation will be accurate for your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Emoji Subtitles will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or damages arising out of decisions you make based on an interpretation or suggested reply. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, to the extent legally permitted, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
